I got four pounds at a discount at my club. Reading online, they recommend reducing your 231loads for this powder.
I plan on using in 9mm 38sp,44sp, 45 ACP, and 45LC all with CBs

Titegroup has it's own set of reloading data. It is faster than W231/HP-38. Use published data and you'll be fine.

I know for a fact it works in 9mm and 38 special. You really don't need much of it to get things going.
Lots of data on the Hodgdon data site for that powder.

All good advice above. I've found it to work very well in every straight walled revolver cases that I've used it in when developing light to medium loads.

I've also had good results in straight walled rifle cases with light loads using cast boolits.

231 and titegroup are not even close to the same, they behave completely different under the same circumstances.

use titegroup data and you'll be fine.

Titegroup is one of my most accurate powders that I use in the 45C and a 230 grain LRN.Accurancy is better than this old man can shoot.Have fun.

I use it with fantastic results.
I use the load data that is printed on the bottle.

The powders that are the same are HP38 & WW231, a call to Hodgdon's customer service put me in touch with one of their ballastitions & he comfirmed it. I've interchanged them & get the same results. Note I said interchanged NOT mixed.

Titegroup is an exellent powder, the late Bob Munden suggested I try it, I did & I'm hooked. It'll work in most any handgun ctg. You may not get top velocity, but you will get fine accuracy! Bob was using it in his .45 Colt loads.

Like it in revolver calibers I have used it in. Only thing to watch for is the density of the powder means visually there is less indication of an over charge or a squib load. Unlike some powders where a double charge would fill or mostly fill the case and a half charge would look like a little pile-o-nothing in the bottom of the case, with Titegroup a 1 grain difference is very little powder.

Nice score.

Use ONLY TG load data! It is absolutely EVERYWHERE in ALL the load data books. It is one of the standard powders I use in 9mm-45LC. But ONLY using published load data for TG! No other powder "close" to it.

There you have it!
A lot of endorsements for Titegroup.[smilie=w:

Hodgdon's offers a reloading catalog for under $10, it's in catalog form not book form. It's well worth the price it has a LOT or load data in it.

Plenty of TG data, not need to extrapolate. IME, it's just not at its best with lead bullets. I won't ever buy anymore, would rather use just about anything else in that burn range. BTW, wouldn't use it ion a 500 if it were free.:veryconfu
