My last range visit was to Wathgill 6C ETR range Catterick Garrison two weeks ago.

Joe AKA closey on Cast Boolits and I were shooting cast, Joe put up some of his pictures in the Swedish Blonde post, here's mine:

Stick ins and ETR targets at 100 yrds, berm 300yrds with targets at 200 and 300 yrds.

Joe shooting a proper rifle an Enfield, a No4 T in this instance. This rifle likes the Lyman 314299 sized to .314"

I'm not sure what he's doing in the hole but it certainly is of interest to the looker on's:

The No4MkT has a very nice cheekpiece that is added to raise the shooter to eye level with the scope. I copied one for my own No4 MkII with a B-Square mount. Definitely makes shooting with glass more comfortable.

................What, no benches?

Regardless, a day shooting is a day added to your life. My neighbor is getting back into shooting. He was big time into golf, even making some of his own clubs, but he remarked to me one day that he never had as much fun as he did when shooting.

Check out the "Back Then and Now" pictures. The young whipper snapper in the avatar dark hair and moustache and the "now" guy grey hair, grey wiskers and rather distinguished looking.

dromia,

The range looks well thought out - direction, location, light contrast look great, even if it doesn't have benches or covered line. Which way does the wind blow?

..............That avatar photo was 36 years ago. I just like to recall there once wasn't so much of me :-)
