View Full Version : Sub-sonic load data for NOE 311-247-FN PB

Hey folks, was hoping someone has had some loading experience with the NOE 311-247-FN PB for Blackout. IMR load data from the website has the following for IMR 4227 using a 230 grain boolit. Assuming the pressure will be slightly higher with the additional 17 grains I was wondering if it would make sense to shoot for a load at 10 grains, or am I better off staying at 10.2? Trying to stay between 1050 and 1065 fps. Any thoughts or experience would be greatly appreciated.
10.2gr 1,065fps 37,100 CUP (IMR Load Data for 230 grn)

What type gun and barrel length? If it is an AR what gas port location?

16" pistol length gas, non-adujustable gas block (.750)

With a pistol length you will have better luck than I have as both of our uppers are carbine length. I have had luck with around 10gr RL-7 with 230-245, most loads you will find are for jacketed bullets and should be fine interchangably between 230 and 245gr cast. If you are concerned reduce and work up to functioning or velocity.

After my stamp is approved for my suppressor (already been a month since submission on my NFA trust) I will be applying for another to SBR my 300 and I'll be putting a short barrel on it to be used with the 9" suppressor. I should have better luck with cycling at that point.
