Looks like the skilled technicians at "Century Arms.":bigsmyl2:

Was that paste he was spreading a priming compound? Looks like a very capable manufacturing operation in a very small two-room building. Interesting, and a little scary.

Berdan primers. Is the grey green stuff propellant? King of reminds me of the scene in "Lives of a Bengal Lancer" where the afghans are loading .577 cartridges with boolits.

Appeared to me the green "stuff" was powder being loaded in the cases by volume. The guy sitting to the front of the spreader was seating the bullets in the cases from the block the guy was spreading it over. Talk about a compressed load!

Wow they had the nicest cave ever.

Really wonder how many rounds they could complete in one day.

They were using new brass. The first part of the video shows making the case. At about 1:30 you see them cutting the extractor grove in the newly made case.

Looks like they are using at least four machines to cut extractor groves. So that would make for at least 115,000 rounds per day based on 8 hours of actual work. But given that one guy is spreading powder that would suggest over 200,000 rounds per day for 8 hours of actual work.

Of course if they work more or less than 8 hours than the production would change.

That much? I'm amazed by that! Now if we could perform a little (project eldest son). He he he

Kinda scary watching the guy sitting on the lathe trimming cases and what looks like one guy leveling off the powder into a tray of cases. We don't need no stinkin scales. Frank

Watching this says a lot for the design and durability of the AK47, for which they probably fabricate a lot of ammo.

I really doubt a company like Remington uses scales in their production lines to much either. They may have just lucked onto the right combo of powder where it works out that way, or just lucky they aren't blowing up guns all the time. You do have to hand it to them to make such piles of ammo with such rudimentary equipment. I doubt any of it is very accurate, but considering they don;t tend to aim but rely on Allah to make them hit something, may not be a big deal. Its funny to see one of them on the news, with an AK minus the stock and a long scope mounted on top. Not sure what they plan to hit with it. Or any of the other cockeyed set ups we see them using.

I'd guarantee that stuff is plenty reliable and accurate for the intended purpose and those methods have been adequate for a long time. Whether or not the ammo is 100% reliable or accurate or even safe doesn't scare me in the least (unless it was being shot at me!) nor does it scare those using it. What is frightening about the video is that those guys are doing that for likely very little pay and in the name of their religion. The same holds true for the cloned weapons they scratch build from scrap metal.

It looked like they were loading Tok ammo. The close up showed a round nosed bullet. Looks like the youngsters got tasked with crimping.

Probably tok ammo, the cases were probably 556 cases.

Very good video...for us too see that is. These folks are driven. Talk about sweat shop...could have been a scene out of the book 'The Jungle' by Upton Sinclair....
