In what context? Fitting the boolit to your bore? Maybe a length::diameter ratio for stability at a given velocity/twist?

probably the 4[ish] to 1 ratio thingy for stabilization.

How about:
The diameter of a circle is two times the radius. d = 2r .

My diameter rule is the diameter of a boolit is more important than hardness of the boolit.

My other diameter rule is the diameter of my waist is directly proportional to the amount of food consumed and indirectly proportional to the amount of physical activity performed.

But what do I know .

Which diameter rule? The one that states bullet seating depth should be at least equal to the diameter of the bullet?

I too, would be interested in the "Kuhnhasen explanation" of the "diameter rule". Just what Kuhnhasen says, not a bunch of speculation on what I'm asking...

Here is a great "diameter rule", king among thousands.

"The circumference of a circle is 3.14159 times the diameter"

If that isn't what you meant, we'll need a few more details what you had in mind.

Did Kuhnhasen write about/explain that?

Cracked barrel bushing?? - Page 2 - The Firing Line Forums

Probably the most useful reference. It appears to be a manual for 1911s best guess is that the OP is looking for a bbl to bbl bushing tolerance.

Why doesnt the OP just ask whatever it is he wants?

I read that he wanted to know what Kuhnhasen had to say about the "diameter rule". But, I don't read between the lines, just what's printed...

He was saying that you need to use the right size bullet, eg: don't use a .45 bullet in your .38.
