Health update! I have second chance now. :bigsmyl2:

Miss Barbie can ride horses again.
My health came back. Some say it was because I was working 18 hour days, 7 days a week.
Obama recently had specialists fix my vision now I'm back like new again. I can now hand tool leather again like when I was a young.
Obama paid for Barbies medical bills and is reimbursing me for my financial losses.
Obama sent Barbie to school and she tentatively has several jobs pending that pay twice what she was originally making.

And to who it may concern thinking I moved to Vegas for the lights and gambling, drugs, hookers, driving around in a Lamborghini wearing Armani suits. I don't live in a home full of Las Vegas Show Girls and Exotic Dancers with a brass pole in my living room either as some have stated in a few past posts. tsk tsk <eyes rolling>
I partake in none of this. I have never ever drank alcohol or ever done any drugs to this day and really have trouble understanding this whole inebriation and getting high thing.
Actually in the past, while wifey was at her cocktail job I chatted most Fri and Sat nights with the late Bob Krack and Mooseman in AK into the late hours in the mourning via phone.
I came to Vegas for an engineering job. That's it. Those here that have corresponded with me are aware of this. No one knows or will ever know where I worked.

I also hung out with ranching people, as in "In a saddle on horse" when I lived in CO as a youth. That goes for AZ also.
Again, those here that have taken the inconvenience of corresponding with me are aware of this. Those that have not are presuming.

Most summer school breaks, Gramps flew me into DFW to come help him out on his ranch.

So the observant ones here have noticed I am going back to my roots. :bigsmyl2:

Someone needs to step up to the plate to feed America. The youth of today as a whole surely won't take on this responsibility.

The housing bust hit us hard:
We did have a huge delay when we put our investment homes up for sale and two weeks later the housing bust hit and left us dead in the water for 7 years. We are though back up to market and are receiving offers.

Wait a minute - isn't that love life in the bottom picture at about 2,000 yards? ;-)

Glad to hear things are looking up for you and Barbie
- what kind of eye surgery did you have done?

Glad to hear everything is working out. You are one of a handful on this forum that I really enjoy reading your post. As to those "people" if they only knew the truth.

But you know the "House full Show Girls" thing sounds kinda fun for say 10 minutes.:kidding:

Good to hear you and Barbie are 'back in the saddle!' As far as those presumptuous individuals go, you did them a favor by responding.

Man don't I know it. Lost 1.5m in houses. Just got back to being able to buy.

Actually, been looking at a 70ac farm with nice barn, 1yr new house & big shop/gar, nice barn + other bldgs. Cut 110, 800+# round bales this yr off 3 cuttings. Going for a final walkthru tonight, before the auction next week. Even includes a 30yo ex race horse with a $275 a month check to take care of him. Plus a BIG 4 bay block building that was a working auto repair shop with lifts etc.

Already talked to the kid that hays it & does work around there about putting up separate cattle & sheep fencing. The horse is on a m/l 10ac fenced piece already, so just need to add a couple 8-10 yo rocking chair geldings for us 2 old cripples & were set to go. Only problem, some city guy with a bunch of money will probably come & bid the price above what it's worth.

Wife likes it but says we are sitting on a real nice 34 ac place with 10ac of nice clover so just get off your butt & get out there & fence it instead of ...yadayadyada

Glad to hear things are getting better and glad Miss Barbie can sit a horse again but I can't figure out why, LOL, she wants to.

My vision is the most important thing to me and it's why I stay all over my Diabetic meds every day!

Good luck.

Duke I know your are a whale of a good engineer from what I have seen of your work and your "vision" of things. I also enjoy seeing your work and am so glad to hear that you got things moving again. Hard to keep a good man (and woman) down! You have been given the ability to do a lot of things well. Use it to create a great future for you and Barbie.

Good to hear that things are turning around for both of you!

(BTW, that drinking-druggin'-hooker thing must be pretty over-rated ......... a guy the other day is said to have dropped $75,000 in four days of partying and nearly died from it!)

Talk about torching your whole candle off in a FLASH!

Best regards
