Ive heard, and read about people doing this and pressing cornstarch into the case for small game hunting. Something like 5000 fps Ive heard. :-D

Any info? Where do you get equipment to do this?

If you're new and haven't been reading this site for the past couple of months, I guess you don't know a couple of Bullshop's boys are swaging some very accurate .224 bullets using .22 LR cases. Why don't you send him/them a PM about making some with cornstarch innards so you can try it out and report on it to us? Sounds like the idea might have merit.

I got my swaging stuff from Corbin some years ago , I think they are still in business in Oregon .

I just made up 250 of them today. Yes, the equipment is still available, but costs around $600 for the Corbin set.

do you mean 250 cornstarch filled bullets?

No, I meant the Corbin jacket maker. I stuff mine with lead!

I doubt that cornstarch would stay put unless you added some adhesive at the bullet nose. The Corbin set leaves a small opening in the bullet point (hollowpoint), I think the cornstarch would filter out and make a mess of the dies. Interesting concept though.
