150789I can't take any credit for this but, I thought it would fit in...

Reminds me of book about W2 German Sniper's - they used that on the Russian front.

I don't know if it counts for the contest but I really like Red333 art work!!! I would love to have that as a greeter at my cottage.

Thanks jeepyj, years ago I worked at a small garage and came up with him one day.
He is stuck in the ground with rebar and 100 lbs of concert.
When the wind blows he will rock back and forth.

Due to my being absent/offline for the last week...and possibly again in the near future, I'm going to extent the October Contest themed "ART" through November as well.

I could see that while you may have been painting a ole cogger with a pipe full of Borkum Riff with vintage retro red & black wool hunting suit with accompanying hat shooting at a running 10 pt with a mod 71 winchester in 348 win and a big ole 300 gr cast boolit coming out the barrel with a brunette riding the silver boolit to its target in the spruce, cedar, hemlock, popple, jack pine, white pine, oak, june berry, tag alder, and birch lowlands of the out skirts of a MN swamp with 4" of snow on the ground along the river and still trying to get all the brew and vino ready for the Holidays.

I wish the Mods would put a "like" button on every post. Then the pic with the most "likes" could be declared the winner. I don't think it would be too hard for the tech guys (or gals) to add this.

That sure would get folks to enter the contest early...If a submission was entered late in the month, less chance of getting the most "likes"

I think it would be a nice feature on all posts. I often see a post that I like and/or agree with but don't want to enter post myself on it. Having the "like" button to click would give the poster feedback without contributing to the data file to much. I know my post count would be a lot less than it is if I could simply like something.
