150096I have lived on the upper Chesapeake bay for 76 years , this has to be the most unusual beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.
The shot was taken last fall on a fishing trip for rockfish off the bow my boat heading out the Seneca river. We took 4 pics but the bow was in 3 of them
to let you know where you are there is marker in the center of the pic. The upper eastern shore is above that marker. To the right over the trees would be the Chesapeake bay bridge some 20 miles away. Look at the reflection of the sky into the water ,clouds sun its a perfect match, hardly a ripple in the water.
thought you guys might enjoy it my daughter in law had had it transferred to canvas for me . tks KEN

Yes sir I am from the lower eastern shore . I am a commercial fisherman , and see the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel at the southern end of the bay. My office is a boat going up and down the Chesapeake bay . And I thank God every day for it. Beautiful mornings are a good start to the day.

We are connected I am also a commercial waterman for 45 years. My two sons are commercial and work the bay every day. My son has a sunrise pic hanging on his wall with the slogan "does your day start like this " When you see this example of nature it is "truly something of value" tks KEN

Many hours on the Chesapeake Bay (and Delaware Bay live in the middle between them) This time of year just waiting on the Temps to drop to start Rock fishing. Usually between you guys in the Crisfield, Deal Island area, far north as Wye Mills. Just a recreational fisherman. Great Picture The Bay on its Best behavior and a morning to thank God for

What a great photo! I'll bet it was even more stunning in person. Things like that can sure humble a person and make them realize the beauty that's been created for us . . . .

Like the mornings at the lake as I headed out fishing right at sunrise. Mist rising off the water, reflections in perfectly calm water, sounds of people around the lake getting up, and often the only boat on the water.

Very nice, sun rise is always interesting.

Two weeks ago while out crow hunting we where in fog. As the Sun shining burn off the fog. I was the strangest thing almost like a rainbow in the fog. No colors other then the lighter fog. Almost dome like about 100 feet high and and some 400 feet across. Lasted about 10 minutes and was gone. No way to take a picture as the fog was thick, we could only see about 50 yds. this was in the distance glowing some 150 yds away.
