When my grandpa died, he had already sold his gun collection off about ten years prior ( :(:(:( ) but I found this old military rocket motor box (basically a giant version of the 50cal ammo cans) and it was full of old boxes of ammo, which were all fired so it was just the brass. There was a box of 30 carbine that was really old in there also. Most common in the box was 222 remington. Is there anything good that I can convert these to? Or am I better off trying to trade them for something I need? The biggest score in said box was actually a few hundred starline 38spl and 357mag brass, and 2 boxes of 44mag brass.. But those are being used already. I really wish he wouldve kept his guns though... Im curious as to what his 357 and 44mag guns were. I guess Ill never know.

If they were 1x fired I would just trade them off for what you want. If not here's a list of things that come to mind.

221 Fireball
20 Vartarg
22 TCM
300 Blackout
And there's a 17 cal something or other folks make from the 221.

If your really creative you can also make 9mm shot loads with those..

If you or anyone you know swages jacketed bullets, they make good jackets for a .375 rifle.

You can also go up with it to the 243 Myra (6mmx222), 25 Copperhead (25x222) and of course the aforementioned 300 Blackout/Whisper. I use mine to make 6mmx222. How much 222 do you have? I might be interested.

I would sell/trade for what you want. 222 brass is desirable in itself.
