Lee Website Boolit Pics

I went to the Lee website about a week ago or so and noticed that all the pics of their boolits were real shiny. Back before the boolit pics had that fresh WW cast look. So, do you think that makes them more accurate, deadlier, or just prettier? I hope they don't raise their prices to much for the prettier look. I have to admit a lot of their boolits are pretty decent.

I have a confession to make, I use Ben's Liquid Lube in 1,2,3 coats on bullets.

Once they are loaded I take a towel, moisten it with Johnson's One Step wax (same as is in BLL) Put the bullet end in the wet spot, close towel around it, and give it a spin.

Hoila! Shiny bullet with a very thin wax coat on it, to help keep it shiny.

I could not exactly say why I do this, I just feel like I want to.

Lee wants pretty bullets to make you want to buy the mold. Picture a fast food hamburger in a TV add.

To make the most perfect bullets possible, they will use linotype for their samples and linotype makes shiny bullets.

It is called "selling the sizzle."
