How to Delete Private Messages

I haven't received notice of approaching my max. number of private messages....but I wanted to get rid of a bunch of them....went to the right side and put a check in the box.....no matter what I do next I cant delete....right click and the "delete" option is grayed out....help please....[smilie=b:[smilie=b:

Down on the bottom right, bellow that last pm there is a box. Click on it after you have selected the one you want to delete and it will let you choose what you want to do with the selected items.

you can delete all the ones in the box too by clicking the top right corner it will remove everything in that date frame.
remember you need to remove both in and out pm's separately.
