My RCBS Pro-Melt after reaching temp will only let me cast about 10-15 bullets and then the temp goes from 800 to 725, I keep the pot 3/4 filled, I am doing something wrong or do it have to go back for repair
Thanks

You should not need to be running your alloy at a real temp of 800F. I said real temp because you are reading the pot thermostat setting, not the actual alloy temp. Most of us run between 700 and 750 for lead alloy. Maybe less for some alloys.

Your "PCBS Furance" is prolly a cheap chinese rip-off of the RCBS Pro-melt Furnace.

The situation you describe in post #1 is not typical or correct for a RCBS Pro-Melt pot. I would suggest that you contact RCBS directly and let them know exactly what is going on. Their guarantee on equipment is rock solid and they will advise you as to what to do. Just off the cuff it sounds like a problem with the thermostat. LLS
