My father has a mountain flint lock from Dixie Gun Works manufactured by Miroku, Japan. The frizzen spring broke during his last reenactment at Goliad and we are in search for a replacement but keep coming up empty. Dixie does not carry these rifles or parts anymore (and could not offer any service on where to find) and the only replacement thus far is to replace the whole lock from Track of the Wolf....does not look near as nice as the current lock.

Can anyone guide me on where to find replacement part for the Dixie Miroku Mountain rifles or if someone has a spare spring I would be glad to purchase it.

Thanks in advance.

A spring maker can make another. Wolf springs may be able to help you might e-mail them.

Those are some mighty fine shooting rifles. A local gun shop owner is fond of black powder stuff, he does some spring work. I have to go there this weekend for other matters and will check to see what he has to say about making you one. You would have to ship him the lock so he can make one to fit, but I would be a whole lot less than a new one.

Is this the part you need?

Thanks to all. Will review the Ebay Spring posted by Tatume but would also be interested in custom spring makers. Will check Wolf as well.

in case it matters, the ebay part referenced is a mainspring not a frizzen spring.
