Hi Guys,
I've been swaging PP bullets with my Corbin S Press.
Some time ago, I had an address of a company in Canada that sold musket lead, 20-1, 30-1, 40-1, etc. Due to a computer crash I lost it.:(
Where is a good place to get lead wire? I'm from Michigan. I have a core mold, but like using the wire.

Thanks,
hidehunter:)

I bought some from a contact I found in Texas. He mailed 50lbs of wire in a flat rate box. Very nice person. I paid $1.70/lb plus postage a month or two ago. I thought it was a pretty good price. If you want his contact information, send me a PM...

Welcome aboard, by the way... Where are you at in Michigan? There are a number of Michigan folks here, from SE MI to the UP.

UP here.

I'm getting some from Ken here. CH4D has decent prices. $75/50lbs pro-rated to exact weight.

John,
I'm west of Flint in Genesee County. Thanks for the Welcome Aboard.:drinks:
I've got the number of a company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that might sell lead wire.
I'm going to try to contact them. If they do I'll let you guys know.

Freakshow,
That sounds like a good price. Is the guy you are talking about on this site?

Thanks,

Ah. I just know northern Houghton county and Keweenaw county. Been to the Island when I was a kid, but never downstate. Wife is from Cheboygan. Supposed to go down there sometime to see her hometown. She saw mine in WI already (Oshkosh).

Back to the lead wire, Check and see if there is a company in your area that makes fishing sinkers, they swage lead into pencil sinkers and will often make you a deal on a large lot.
