Just bought a mixed box of cast bullets off a forum member and sorted them this evening. Could identify what most were for, but have a large quantity that I can't identify the rifle (s) they would be for. Bullet is a FP and weighs 195-196 grains sized and gas checked. They have been sized to .334, too big for 8mm and too small for 338. Only cartridges that I can find that might used this size cast bullet are some odd British rounds, most common being the 318. Anyone know of others that I am overlooking. Never had luck posting pictures, wish I could , it is a very nice bullet.

I believe that Elmer's .333 OKH and Jeffrey's .333 were the right cals. but quite obscure by now.

bingo , in essence the various .333's were replaced by the .338's which i suppose one could paper patch that .334 to easily enough

That would also be my educated W.A.G. about them.Robert

Hadn't thought about the Steyr, or the 333 OKH. Don't have either one. Think I'll post them on the sales forum and if no one here uses them guess I have a cigar box of hard alloy to melt down and add to my stash.
