UPDATE 9/1/15: Package delivered and all's right with the world.

My pop ordered one in anticipation of our next smelt. I'm the muscle for those events, and the back and forth with the ladle was getting OOOOOOOOLD.

We received the base ring, legs & mounting bolts, burner head, and t-handle valve in a box marked "1-of-2".

Box #2 containing the actual pot portion is still missing almost a week later. Post office claims not to have it, and we have had no replies to phone messages or e-mail from the vendor.

Is anyone in personal contact that can clarify the mystery? I hope they're not having a crisis, or, dare I say it, a meltdown. . .

Thanks!

What size did you purchase? I have the 65 pound model and love it! Here is mine in action.

I would be willing to bet that pkg 2 of 2 is lost in action via U.S. Postal Service.....I have been pondering buying the 45 lbs because I think that is all that I can keep up with without buying a gazillion ingot molds....keep us posted....very interested in how it plays out....Paul

Any success in contacting them? I'd like to keep up on it.

Okay people, if anyone has any special orders they'd like to have done, or even if you want a stock smelter, please order them ASAP. We will be halting production on this side of our shop for approximately three months as one of our guys will be out for a major back surgery, one will be reassigned to a special government project and one will be taking time off because it's hunting season in the great northwest. We hope to have quite a few of our regular pots on hand but if you want anything special, you may have to wait until January if you don't order now.
Our estimated downtime will be approximately 1 October to 1 January.
On another note, we hope to have all testing of our new shot-dripper completed within a week or so - just in time for everyone to dream about it for three months.....

Box #2 with the 65# pot arrived on the 1st. Some "real life" issues caused the slight delay. No worries! It's certainly a beast, and far more confidence-inspiring than the BPS turkey burner, witches cauldron, and ladle I've been using. Still need to score a regulator for it.

Got a few more months of range lead scrounging to do and cold weather to wait for, but this should REALLY simplify the process!:happy dance:
