A littl confused about those two RD 30-30 designs.

I see NOE makes 2 different RD 311 165 gr FP molds. The original stubby RD profile. And again a updated version of the same mold called the SC 165 gr mold. Curious: What does the updated RD SC design resolve or improve upon?
Reason I ask. One or the other is going on my wish list and intended for use in a pre 64 Winny 94 carbine. And its always good to be a informed buyer before most purchase's. Thanks for the help.

I didn't see a mold sc165 sc usually means single cavity.

The old style works well with the older Marlins. The new style works with new Marlins and everything else.

You should be able to easily see the difference in the nose of these two.
