Welcome, krudt. The newest Lyman Reloading Handbook, No. 48, 2002, has 357 Magnum data for the #358477, but not .38 Special. Data for any plain base, 150 gr. SWC or RN in .38 Special from any manual that you have would be close enough. Ballistic coefficients for some of Lyman's more popular rifle boolits can be found in their latest Cast Bullet Handbook, which is now quite old. I'm not quite sure how old, but my dog is over 13 years old, and it was his predecessor who died at 11, who chewed the cover off my copy when he was a puppy. I'd guess 24 years or more. I imagine Lyman did not think there would be much interest in BC for pistol boolits because of the short ranges most pistol shooters use. You could approximate pistol BC from specifications of similar shape and weight projectiles in Hornady, Speer, etc. manuals.

This from pg 99 of the _Lyman Reloading Handbook, 46th Edition_:

#358477 upper V = 1300 fps; lower V = 800 fps; high V BC = .180; intermediate V BC = .150; low V BC = .130

Krudt, 5 grains of Unique (or Universal Clays) is the standard 38 special load with that 358477 boolit. ... felix

IMHO if the load Felix listed won't group with a 38 there is problems with the gun. Gianni.
