How fast can you push a PB boolit in the .30 cal to .375 cal? Using let's say from a 1 in 10" twist to a 1 in 15" respectively. Let's also say using an WQWW alloy or even a linotype with a little toughing. Can you get over 2000 fps with these with accuracy?

Look in the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook and you will find many loads over 2000fps. Most of the bullets are at #2 alloy w/gas checks. These are mainly the .30 cal family of calibers, the .323/8x57 mauser. .30 at a 1in12 twist 323 at 1in 9 1/2. 8mm mag at 1in12 and so on. Hope this helps.

The CBA (Cast Bullet Assoc) is the only national organization that shoots only cast lead alloy bullets in competion.

In the target rifle classes (excluding plain base rifles), most records and most match wins, are shot with alloy from about #2 (lots of variation) to Lino, with Lino having distinct edge. The majority of competitors shoot in the 1800 - 2200 fps range. Over 90% of them using 30 caliber bullets.

I hope that helps.

The last .308 I had I was going 2450 fps., group size right around 1.75" at 100 yards.

umm no.
the plain base will prevent that.

now if by P/B you mean a lead alloy boolit, then the answer is.
maybe.
I shoot many of my rifles fast with cast lead projectiles.
by fast I mean 2400-2800 fps.
others I don't or the rifle has an issue that prevents it.
my 8 mauser is a solid 1-1/2" rifle no matter what.
but since Remington cut the chamber crooked to the barrel there ain't much I can do about it short of re-barreling the rifle.
my ruger 308 and 358 were both a cake walk, all I had to do was find/design the correct boolit and load development was on.

GC 2600+ is relatively easy. PB over 1800 is much harder, for MOA. Alloy makes the difference. You'll need something in the mid 20s effective BHN in a GOOD boolit.
