Some one had drove a drill into the spout and broke it off. I got it out and it pours like camp. Here is a pic what model is it. I am going the put a coat of high temp black paint on it. What is the value of this pot.

The pic shows what is and has to be a Saeco model 24 which was a popular bottom pour pot for a long time with many casters. A good one that is still in good condition and working well should bring more than $100. I still have one that I bought several decades ago and have used it regularly and carefully cared for it along the way. Any unit that has been worn out or abused is definitely worth restoring. A search on the forum will turn up sources for parts and procedures for servicing what is in need of repair. Keeping the outside rust free and sprayed with Rustoleum BBQ black is a good idea. The 24 is rated as a 10 pounder in capacity, but it is sturdily built and just keeps on going if cared for. Good luck on a good find. LLS

I got the old up and going tonight and adjusted the pour. And did not know what I was missing. I love this thing it makes my Lee look like a cheap import pot. I will post some pics later I got cleaned and paint flat high temp paint.

There are some folks who have found success and happiness with Lee pots and some who have not. However there is no way that anyone can compare a Lee pot of any type with the ones manufactured by Saeco, Lyman (the moldmaster series) or the current RCBS Pro-melt.....I'm alluding to quality of materials, construction and quality control. The materials used are simply in a different league and the longevity/performance are quickly evident. LLS

My first was a Saeco 24, that I still use for small pours. It was a factory rcon in 1964 at $45. If it held a little more, it would still be my only furnace.
