2x4 frame, setting 1/4" steel plate on 45 degree angle, 1/4" steel floor. This is a backstop for safety only. Boolit trap is a box, 14" high, 29" wide and 24" long, filled with shaved rubber from a tire recapping store. Used seven 5 gallon buckets of rubber to fill the box. 1/2" thick rubber mat covering the front. The boolit box is made from 1" pine boards. Several hundred 38's and some heavy 357's fired and no exits. The rubber fill was free, the steel expensive. All together the expense was less than $l00. Would post pics, but don't know if you can do that here. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for describing your trap! If you go to the advanced post feature and click the file attachment button (the paper clip) you can insert pics but you need to keep them "small." You might need to play with the settings on your camera or adjust the properties of your photos. If you can get it working, I'd like to see it.

Tried to take pictures, but couldn't get them small enough. If anyone can give guidance on how to get them smaller, will try again.

Tried again, think we made it. Simple 2x4 frame setting on piece of 1/4" steel, backstop is 1/4" steel leaning on frame at 45 degree angle. Shot into steel several times to make sure there was no penetration and it was sturdy. The box is made of 1" pine boards and filled with shredded rubber. The rubber is very fine. Piece of 1/2" rubber seals off the front, and a piece of plastic cardboard is for holding the targets. The rubber was free. It took seven 5 gal buckets of rubber to fill the box. The steel and 2x4's were less than $l00. Filled in the sides of the frame with old plywood. Any questions, just message. Hope this helps.
