On Friday I found a pair of moccasins on Amazon and they said delivery in 2 days.

Well Guess what?

The USPS just dropped them at my front door.

Hey mailman this is Sunday and you are supposed to be out fishing.[smilie=s:

Good deal...great service...never seen the mailman around here on Sunday.

It is that new deal they have with Amazon.

I have AMAZON PRIME but have never in the 43 years I have lived here even seen a USPS vehicle in the area on a Sunday.

Must be something new with amazon

Love that kind of service.[smilie=s:

I was talking to the USPS mail carrier this week. He was lamenting about have to work sundays.
I say, "WHAT ? delivering Mail ?"
He said, Yeah - sort of, we'll be delivering Amazon packages only.

So, it's reaching small town Minnesota as well.

It surprised me also when I was delivered a package last Sunday from Amazon via USPS. Here is the link about it: http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2013/11/25/a-peek-at-amazons-contract-with-the-postal-service/

Seeing as how the USPS is broke, you'd think he'd be happy to stay gainfully employed.

I bet this won't last long. Delivering packages without mail is a waste of resources.

Do you expect the postal service to do something that makes sense?
