I am looking for a mould for my 257 Roberts, ~ 90-120gr, gas check bullet, flat nose, if possible, because I may want to try hollow-pointing a'la Forster sometime in the future.

Has anyone had good experience with a particular brand of mould/bullet weight?
Thanks.

I don't have 257 rob. but I shoot the Lyman 257420 in 25-20 and 256 WM, it's a 65 gr boolet but weights about 87 gr with check and lube it has about .100 dia flat nose.
I can send samples if you want some.

RCBS makes the 257-120-SP a 120gr(in LINO) but not much of a flat nose.
There's not a very big choise in 25 cal moulds.

I'd suggest RCBS 25-100 FN..These appear ftit on the auction sites.(There's one on evil-Bay right now) Won't be cheap.,though.. Beyond that NEI #21 or 23 are good #'s,but unless you order new,you might be a long while looking..Good luck & Enjoy, Onceabull

I'll second the 25-100-FN RCBS.......or the 257312 Lyman. My 722 Rem even handles the 25-120-SP RCBS all right./beagle

Beagle; D'you suppose my box stock Ruger will also do well with the RCBS 120?
Thx, C.
