Be careful buying 8 lb jugs of H110 thinking you'll use it all up in your 44's. It ain't gonna happen.

I did this and had to buy a $2000 .410 shotgun to finally put a dent in that jug of powder.

The 475 Linebaugh seems to go through it relatively quickly - the hitch at the moment is that I am out of bullets. Rather than buying more commercial bullets I am setting up to cast my own.....soon!

The 300 blackout runs well on h110. Close to 4000 rounds in an 8 lb keg.

I could use some for my 30 carbine but 8lbs. would last a looooong time 14gr. at a time. Guess you could have worse problems. GP

1300 rounds for my 375gr spire points in the 500 mag, she's a hungry beast! i would buy 10 jugs at that price!

Really? I have had no issue using it up in my 357s. Considering 44s take a greater charge it would take me less time ;)

Also like it in .22 Hornet and .458 SOCOM

One of my most used powders as I shoot 410, 22hornet, 357, 44 Mag and 45 colt.

Somehow this sort of affliction happens to me all to often. Buy the components then have to get something to shoot them in. Oh well.

GRAFS has it for 160...their shipping is often less so it may still be a "good enuff" deal

Red Dot, Unique and H110..The Holy Trinity of Powder for Pistol Shooters

I was given a full pound of 110, and after using up my red dot and 473 I was hoping to be able to use it in .30-06 with the Lyman 31141 for light target loads. But, after reading everything I could find on this site, and finding nothing in my loading manuals, I decided I had better stick with unique, red dot or 700x. Still, I hate to use it for fertilizer, since I have no magnum firearms.

I was taught the Holy Trinity was Bullseye, Unique & 2400. I prefer the Hodgdon version of HP-38, Universal & H110. I will say the Alliant version is more versatile.

I had no mentor when I started loading around 1982-83 and I settled fairly quickly on RedDot, Unique & 2400

But H110 is a viable substitute for 2400 for any use I have for either....

I used far more RedDot than anything else because I would never let myself be without a spare 4#keg of the stuff

Note: it tends to go away fast using it 19grs at a time in 12ga target loads, especially since through the 80's any week where I didn't burn up a case of 12ga 1-1/8oz reloads You could assume I was either feeling like death warmed over or feeling great because my GF wanted me in bed with her...(a man has got to have his priorities:)

358 MGP (.358 necked 6.8 SPC wildcat) loves H110 as well. Will be casting my first boolits ever tomorrow.
