I was thinking about a Versamax 2, but they are way backordered. I have a Kimber ProCarry in the commander size.

The High Noon tailgater looks pretty good.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

I'm a big fan of the Milt Sparks Summer Special 2. Brownell's usually has 1911 govt and Commander sized SS-II holsters in stock for a reasonable price.

Can't go wrong with Milt Sparks. The 55BN and NLG are excellent for outside belt carry for IWB the summer special is tops. Don't forget a good belt! It makes all the difference in the world. Milt also makes excellent belts for this purpose.

i like the hybrid iwb holsters. they have leather against your skin but kadex (spelling?) for gun retention. There very comfortable and sure are easier to reholster guns in.

For my Glock27 I have been using a Bianchi #100. It is a clip-on IWB.
I like it enough that I just ordered one for my S&W m60.

Another vote for Milt Sparks Summer Special. Alternately, I like the #77 Tortilla or #88 Street Combat from El Paso Saddlery.

There are a lot of good ones out there these days.

For IWB, I prefer Spark's SS-2 (cowhide) or Kramer's IWB #2 (horsehide). The SS-2 sits lower and the loops are changeable and available for different width belts. The belt loops of the IWB #2 are permanately attacched and adjustable as well. I just waited about two months for a new IWB #2 - pretty quick for custom.

For OWB, I've been using Mernickles PS6's and they are doing well.

For kydex, Blade Tech for IWB, or Side Armor for OWB.

I prefer Kydex for all my carry guns; all inside the waistband holsters. Go to www.comp-tac.com and check them out. They have great delivery and great customer service.

I just can't get comfortable with an IWB. I get too much print, with either a revolver or my (ex)-Glock 36.
I carry my Colt DS in a plain old Bianchi, with a vest or sweatshirt over it. Works just fine for 9 months of the year. I'm considering an ankle holster and something like a Ruger LCP for the other 3 months (T-shirt weather).

I have 3 holsters from Wild Bill's. He's a retired cop in NC and does great work at a very fair price.
