I just started using White Label Lube's Carnuba Red lube and needed a heater for my very old RCBS lubrisizer, so I thought I would put something together. On Ebay I found a 110V heater and a digital heater controller and bought them both for total of around $20.00. Here are photos of how I use them.

You may also purchase a 1/2 inch thick piece of aluminum that is about 10-12 inches long and 4 inches wide for about $12 off Flea Bay. Then purchase a travel iron from walley world which I have found all of them have great heat controls. Just use a pair of 4 inch c-clamps and clamp both the aluminum plate and press onto the bench. Sitting the iron on the extra area. This type of set up, which I've used for years allows me to move the press when not in use or move it to another area on my bench if it's normal place is being used. Total cost $ 25-35 and my current iron is going on 8 years of use.

Can you provide a link for the digital heater controller? I like that idea!

Here is the heat controller/thermostat and the heating element I used. both seem to work very well. They are shipped from China.

How do you wire those up? Like a PID but, without the SSR?

There are instructions that come with them but they are not very clear. I did locate You Tube video that was helpful but really all you need to remember is that the controller is nothing but a switch that turns off and on at the temperature you set it at. Remembering this and with the instructions that come with it you will be able to figure it out. You will also notice in the photos I posted that there is a small cartridge case attached to the side of the lubrisizer with a small black double wire going into it, this the where I placed the thermocouple. If you should have trouble let me know and I will photo the wiring showing where they all go.
