I wanted one big orange 45 lyman lubsizer around, so l got one. Parts at midway, here, (heaters/dies/punches) & other places. Fairly easy to restore. A real keeper. This one below on standby till accessories come.

I'm no expert but, the handle looks "aftermarket" and sturdier.

The model 45 is as yet my only lubesizer and I love it. I screwed some OSB to the mounting area of mine to protect the paint from the clamp I use to hold it on the bench.

I haven't mounted mine yet. I plan to screw it down onto a foot long length of 2x4 like my other luber. Then just clamp it into my bench vise when using it. That way I can remove it and get it out of the way when not in use. Also looking into using a too long piece of aluminum flat stock under it and using an old iron next to it to heat it.

Iam thinkin about a mentor, l like this with metal under. These and lyman universal heater are same price. I think most went away from iron with this idea.

I've posted two or more postings some years back about mounting the lube/sizer onto a piece of aluminum plate that is 1/2 inch thick and 4x12 wide. This allows the press to be moved off of or in another position on your bench. I posted that the travel iron works very well as they are small in size and fit the plate. Another side benefit is that the thermostats on these irons seem to be of a better quality than those on the larger irons. I posted a similar one this year. Later David

Do not have any thing left ausglock.

Another view for the lil' restoration. I love restorations or updates (this one needs nothing ) or what ever ya wanta call em but haf to keep em out of my mind because they get costly.

That did look like a good idea! I won a bid on eBay for a used 200W for $12 w/ shipping. I also think I found another solution to regulating the heat. I ordered a reptile heater temperature controller, 110v/16A (*C or *F). The power plug and TC probe is installed and all you have to do is plug in the oil pan heater and set the temperature. Works like a PID and just $!8 (China).
