I've been casting and shooting boolits for my other surplus east European pistols in this caliber for quite some time.

But I recently acquired a PPS43c with 9.8" barrel. 143280

I found a load at Makarov.com for cast boolits of 90-93gr using H110 and I suppose WW296 as they are the very same powder made in St. Marks, Fla. I worked up from 11.0gr to 13.9gr using new Starline brass. The max load is listed as 14.2gr but I very much doubt I could start a boolit as the 13.9gr load is half way up the neck as it is.

Here are the chrono results for 13.9 grains. Click on for larger pics.

As you can see from the info, I'm shooting a 93gr boolit, using a Lee .314" tumble lube mold, sized to .311" with a 17BHN...wheelweights with extra tin added. I was surprised and quite happy with the 1800+ fps muzzle speed. They also fed without a hitch.

EDIT: There is an error on the data pic. It says boolit diameter is .309". I neglected to change that to .311" when I changed over from jacketed bullets. My bad. It really is only cosmetic as bullet diameter makes no difference in chrono reading of boolit speed.

In the near future I plan to chrono this load in my Yugo M57 and VZ52.

What lube are you using and how is the leading? Wondering if the CZ52 will have the same type of success with this load? afish4570

I'm using a 50/50 mix of Lee liquid alox and Johnson's paste wax. I've only fired ~30 rounds over the chrono and a rudimentary check by eyeballing down the barrel with a white cleaning patch in the open chamber shows nothing. Perhaps the chrome-lined bore has something to do with that? CZ52 won't go as fast due to a shorter barrel.

I've been loading Accurate 31-087T in my CZ52 using water dropped wheelweights and sized .311" with Lee Liquid Alox and 5.5 grains of Bullseye. Velocity is 1420 fps, shoots to the sights with accuracy better than PPU FMJ ammo.

Very economical to load and NO LEADING!

I use the same bullets in my .32 ACPs with 2 grains of Bullseye.143410

I loaded 11gr's of acc #9 in my CZ52, big flashing da banging!!! bunch of fun at the range. I think I was getting about 15-1600 FPS. with no leading. I'll have to try that again some day, but an automatic throws lead where I have to bend over and pick it up. I now perfer revolvers where I don't have to bend over and pick up the fired cases. (ok, I'm just getting old and slow)
