Just arrived from Keb @ Muskrat & Holland, a 24ga .58 smoothie fowler/musket, 42" OTR barrel, Chambers early Ketland lock, maple stock with wood harvested from the mountains of Pennsylvania and an aqua-fortis and boiled linseed oil finish, 7-1/2lbs light in the hand. Plain Jane and sweet, just the way I like 'em. :)

Arrived in its own wooden box with the lock off and padded - this is the way to ship a long gun! Nice buttoned woollen sleeve, too. It was a pleasure to get know Keb and I'll be checking for more of his offerings.

See kids, this is what a real muzzle stuffer looks like.

My Chamber's Late Ketland has worked flawlessly for a over a decade now

an honest musket, no more or less. what better companion for fowl or deer, or just a walk in the woods?
