I have one mold for the .375 it is a RCBS 250 GC mold. I have been casting with pure Linotype.

I am looking to get about 2,000 FPS from this bullet. I have shot Blue Dot with some satisfaction but need a bit more go-fast.

Has anyone used N133 (I have 2 pounds) 4198 (ten pounds) or 4895 (eight pounds) pushing this bullet weight?

Any input is appreciated.

I have been casting for 30 years and never knew this site existed, this place is awesome! :-D

For a GC mould I use Lyman 377449 in my M70 three six bits. They weight 265 -277 gr (depending on alloy) when lubed with Javelina and a Hornady GC is used. I mostly use ACWWs + 2% tin and they weight 273 gr. Over 36 gr of AA5744 they run 1850 fps with excellent accuracy.

When cast of WWs + 2% tin and WQ'd I load them over 50 gr of 4895 with a 3/4 gr dacron filler over the powder (as a filler, not tamped down into a wad). This gives 2190 fps and 2 moa accuracy at 100 yards. It is my practice load. This same load with ACWWS + 2% tin also makes a very nice deer, bear, elk hunting load though I clean the barrel after each 5 rounds to maintain accuracy That's ok when hunting. For just practice I've shot 50 of the WQ'd bullet load without cleaning and had no leading and accuracy remained constant.

45 gr of 4895 with a dacron filler gives right at 2000 fps out of my rifle.

Go to the castpics site and look in the articles section for Cast in the .375 H & H.

I worked up data for both 4198 and 4895 for most of the Lyman moulds in the .375 H & H. It's a shooter with cast./beagle
