View Full Version : Difficulty with larger Lyman - Ideal mold descriptions

So far, most molds have descriptions and images.

Running into a bit of a drought in the 57x or so size, and in the muzzle loader boolits. The 308/310/311/313 boolits are well represented, I just split this task up into smaller chunks, they will be next.

Before I start digging, I have scanned copies of the 1897, 1900, 1929, and 1942 catalogs. Any other sources of period catalogs? Yes, I will check Cast Pics, I think those catalogs are it for Lyman - Ideal..

Depending on how far back you want to go, the very early Ideal Reloading Handbooks are available in reprint form from Cornell Publications. The price on each one is pretty reasonable, but if you want/need all of them to get coverage of some of the more short-lived designs, it could get a little pricey.

A truly epic work ohland. This, as well as the link in your sig line, demonstrates enormous attention to detail and to the discipline of recording those details in an orderly fashion. I'm very impressed!
