I had a friend of mine ask me about PCC, specifically in 40 S&W. He's invested in the caliber and wants to find a PCC for his wife. I know of the Just Right Carbine, the Beretta CX4 and the HiPoint options. What else is out there for around $700 that is reliable?

My wife has a Beretta in 9 mm CX4 Luger rifle and Beretta pistol she shoots a lot.

She keeps me busy loading the magazines when we go to the range to shoot.

Art pretty much covered them.

I have a Kel-Tec Sub2000 in 40S&W that uses Glock Mags. It was $300 new and the newest version is about $325 Lots of bang for your buck and these guns are 'Highly Desirable!" Lots of accessories available and a large following. Also these guns only weigh 4 lbs so they are easily carried and shot by smaller people.

Best place to buy one if you don't want to wait forever is B&H Gunrack in Florida. They are located 8 miles from Kel Tec and get first dibs on all Kel Tec products. http://www.bhgunrack.com/

Several of the other pistol caliber guns are not really all that. Many are downright ugly and most are way too expensive for what you get.

I have held and shot a Thureon Carbine and at 7.5 lbs it's not that great. Kind of expensive for what you get and doesn't handle well at all.

Of the AR look alikes this one is by far the best,,, mentioned by Jupiter7 above. http://www.tnwfirearms.com/product-p/asrx-cplt-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.htm it is light and handles well. Interchangeable calibers as well.

There are many out there, but I have to tell you that the Kel Tec is the best bang for your buck by a long margin, and the fact that it folds in half and is easily concealable is no small feature. I love mine!

If you decide on one do yourself a favor and buy one that takes Glock magazines. There are Glock mags as big as 31 rounds that will work in these guns. Having 30 rounds on board is no small advantage and also gives you plenty of ammo for killing produce and cans and such.
