Please identify the 31-caliber cast or swaged wadcutter bullets available - or molds for such bullets. A straight 31-caliber cylinder of round ball's diameter will weigh 1.5 times that weight. I request wadcutter identification rather than any other shape because that shape achieves the most weight in the shortest bullet.

I suspect wadcutters with weight between 70 and 85 grains - slightly longer than a 31-caliber round ball - will be what I seek. Round ball weight range is between 45 and 50 grains.

Napthali I would bet Tom [at accurate molds] would love to cut you a mold exactly how you want it and get it to you in 2 weeks or so.

What is the point of this exercise? Trying to load for a cap and ball pistol?

Wadcutters generally exceed your "preferred" weight to some extent in this diameter. The 313492 is lighter than most at 88 grains. A 70 grain wadcutter is lighter than any wadcutter that has been commercially produced in a mould of this diameter that I am aware of.
