Bad Limbsaver Recoil Pads

I took my Encore Pro Hunter rifle out of the safe and tried to get the Sackup off it. The drawstring had melted into the Limbsaver factory installed recoil pad material. First called Sackup and Warren said he had never heard of this.
I decided to call Limbsaver and the lady that answered said awhile back they got some bad rubber that caused this to look as if it had melted. She said to send it to them and they would send me a new pad.

I have one that did the same thing. Mine was on a Beretta 686 that was pre-fit.

I've seen lots of complaints about this online. Some stated it was a problem of the past, doesn't so much look like it.

I had this happen to an 870. Called remington and they stated the same about a bad batch of rubber. They promptly sent out a new one, no questions asked.
