Have an open tubes of JB Weld I tried using.
Have no idea how old it are.
It seems like it just doesn't get as hard as it should.
I tried adding a little more of the hardener with no change.

Mix equal amounts. In hot weather it takes about 24 hrs to completely cure. Mix should be gray in color

I have some that is at least 10 years old......tubes used and sealed tightly.......and it still gets hard enough in +24 hours to tap. machine, and cut.

The 5 minute stuff is a waste of time. For impatient weekend warriors just fixing junk around the house.

I am involved in the aviation industry and all the adhesives have shelf lives.

in my experience, it only goes bad if ya let it hang out with the wrong crowd.

That is why I keep all my adhesives in a DRAWER and not on a SHELF!!!!!!

VA hardly (?) gives me any, but Canadian pharmacies provide blue pills cheap! Seldenafil citrate, that is...

I have used JB weld for diffrent things for many years. ( the bushings on my decapper are poured from it even) it works very good and I have never had any last long enough to go bad.

It's been two days and it's no good.
Guess I'll have to toss it and get a new one.

Try adding a little heat. Not a lot but shine a heat lamp on it for a few hours or put it in a warm place. Since it hasn't worked so far you don't have anything to loose.

I shined a light on it for an hour...in a warm place near the front window and got arrested!!

Hey bangerjim, I may look on your shelf, but I won't look in your drawers.

Found more old tubes of it, and tow of Quick Weld.
Tried them both last night.
Quick weld is not hard. Kind of soft hard.
Regular is about the same.
There all in the trash now.
Going to try a different brand of metal weld.
