View Full Version : Has Anyone Tried Fiocchi Small Pistol Primers ?

CCI small pistol primers are tough to find at a good price. I have seen a couple of online vendors selling Fiocchi small pistol primers for a good price and I'm tempted to try them. I normally order 10k to 15k primers at a time and would hate to buy that many Fiocchi primers only to find out that they have issues. If I could find an online vendor with CCI and Fiocchi small pistol primers in stock, I would just buy a bunch of CCI and a 1000 Fiocchi just to try =but= the online vendors that have Fiocchi primers don't have CCI in stock.

If anyone has tried the Fiocchi small pistol primers, please post in this thread your opinion of using them to prime cases and reliability while shooting, thanks.

I bought a bunch(7.5k) a while back when they first showed up and really like them, and probably used up about 2k of them since then with no issues. I used CCI and the occasional Winchester before buying them and actually prefer the Fiocchi now. They come in 1.5k boxes so they may look higher priced than the usual 1k box. I wish I had sprung for the 12k case.

I use them, Bonz. I bought several thousand of the spp in 1500 boxes a while back. They work just fine. In fact, I am using them right now testing Vectan GM3 in 38sp. Buy them up if you get a good price.

Where are they in?

I was at the (not quite) LGS today and saw them for $60/1500. They had several cases of them, but as I have a goodly supply at home I did not buy any.

I bought a couple thousand in the 93 primer crunch and used them without incident.

I have often used Fiocchi primers both small and large and they have worked well for me...never had any misfires or other issues. LLS

I've used 1500 of them.

Bit harder than Winchester, in the same hardness class as CCI.

In other words causing light strikes in my GP100, but in nothing else.

Fiocchi is a grand old company, just not American. I had no qualms in buying them at all.
