looking for information on lee .500 354gr minie bullet

Personally, I would want more lube than this bullet appears likely to carry. For a bullet in this weight range I would choose the 500-360-M instead.

I bought (1) cast some with it. mold works great the bullet drops right out very easy to use but there loose they came out a tight .497 but all aint lost yet I PP with 2 wraps of #9 pushed the twist in the cavity and they will go down I think bout right without lube or tearing paper and that is without resizing to .501 , haven't got to the range yet to see how they going to fly

I shot them and accuracy was nothing to brag about but good enough for deer. My guns are less than ideal for this bullet. Mine came out bigger than crossxsticks, .501/2 so I didn't put allot into it. They didn't slide down so good after first shot so I figured might as well be shooting the REAL. I actually tried both minies and they did about the same.

i pp the the trash can looking minie ball and sized to .501 and shot 10 of them other day , back in the pot with the rest . yep they shot bad
