The 32-170-FN is settling down. Even with straight WW, it was throwing good boolits quickly. The SAECO 415 41 cal 220gr has been baptised with lead. The sprue plate screw is not at the right tension, the fill-out is haphazard. Lots of short boolits or rounded bases. BUT... when it does cast right, the edges are sharp.

If I was paid to get a good pic, you would see the very sharp edge, everything around the sprue hole is smooth and shiny.

Ran through @ ten pounds (lot of sprue, rejects with the #415), recharged with 3 5lb ingots of 20:1... fired up the 32-170-FN and #415 again, rain of boolits with the 32, somewhat better performance with the 415. The plate, the plate, the plate....

I did the Lee hardness tester, WW aircooled boolits ran .064, BHN of 12.5, the 20:1 leaning aircooled boolits ran .080 for a BHN of 7.9 ish. I really need to get a local supplier for lead alloy... This shipping stuff is getting real old real fast.... The SAECO base is tapered (SAECO said so) and I mic'd @ .398 just below the bottom band, @ .394 at the base.

I might not keep mixing so much 20:1, the water drop WW was 19.5 BHN, the air cooled WW was 12.5 BHN, the 20:1 leaning aircooled was @ 7.9 BHN. If I need hard stuff with the 41, I'll switch back to water drop and that should be good enough...

The Lee handles are great, milled to .300 high and the mould pin holes drilled out to 13/64.
