Well I finally took the model 25 for a afternoon outing loaded with NOE 314 640's over 4.5 of AP70. Anyway this was the result of my first shot out of this little gem of a rifle and a picture of the boolit performance.

Always thought those were slick rifles. Is it a .32-20?

How big are those Wallabies weight wise?

Yes it's a 32/20. I have one here in 25/20 as well but have sold it to a mate. The wallaby can weigh from nearly nothing up to heavy enough that they're hard to lift onto the hooks. The one in the picture is not quite half grown.
The best eating ones are milk Joeys. These are the little ones that are just starting to eat grass and are nearly too big for the pouch. My Camp Buddy used to always grab one each for his kids and two for himself, take them home and chuck them in the camp oven. Then they'd all sit round the table and eat every bit of meat off the bones. Damn fine tucker.

A friend gave me a roo hide which I now have over my lounger chair in the living room. That nice, soft fur feels so good on the back of the neck on cool winter evenings. When visitors come over, they see that long tail and think it is a mountain lion hide.

I sent some to Canada years ago. My mate sent me back a black bear skin for a trade. The roo leather is meant to be the best you can get.
