I have an opportunity to buy nearly a ton of lead rolls from a building being repurposed which used to house an x-ray facility. Far as I know its pure. Anyone with some experience with this kind of lead want to tell me otherwise?

I have old remodeling scrap and new left from construction. Both were pure, or so close I couldn't determine.

Every piece of x-ray shielding I have ever bought was darned near pure. I have heard some report a touch of Sb just to make it a bit stiffer to stay in place.

You will need a LOT of hardball and Sn to alloy that into shootable alloy, unless you shoot BP round balls.

or sell some of it to someone cool.
<<<<<<<<< doobedoooobedoo sauntering off.
the most it might have would be 1% antimony.

I scored just shy of 1,000 lbs. a couple years ago. Spread out flat on ground and just made strips under width of pot with hatchet, swing cuts real easy. Left a couple inches of melt in bottom of 50 pound pot, vertical feed of strip and went pretty quick. Melted/temp, acted, colored, cast pretty much pure to me.

When I got there the guy was so frustrated about the possible contamination everyone was cooing about he was so happy I just loaded it up and he said JUST TAKE IT. Well who am I to argue with free?

Dead soft, it has to be via code. Less than 1% impurities is allowed. Impurities decrease the ability of the lead to stop the radiation. Often times they also have lead bricks that are also pure. Depending on how long ago it was hung you may have some rust where the nails or staples were holding it up, but that's no problem. Take care with any white powder covering the lead. Likely it is lead oxide which is highly toxic. Long sleeves, long pants, socks and shoes, gloves (rubber best), face and breathing protection. Then wash everything, including yourself, in COOL water and detergent. GREAT find.

An acquaintance who is a licensed contractor who works on hospitals told me the following info when I approached him about buying lead. He said that there are two main types of lead shielding, one of which runs +99% pure and one with antimony as a hardener. Most often, you'll find the pure which was mandatory up into the late 80's or early 90's. The antimonial alloys came into use when it was found that the weight of the lead over time was allowing the lead to slump, and thicken at the bottom, while thinning at the top, reducing the safety margin to unacceptable levels.
Sadly CA law requires Lead to be manifested out to a licensed Hazardous Material Processing center.or I'd have bought one and a half tons lead for 20 cents a pound.

If you know how to PC your cast bullets the near pure stuff will work fine throughout most pistol velocities. Not the big magnum revolver stuff, just the standard 9/38/40/45 stuff.
