I was reading on here awhile back and came across a post explaining how to hp a mold. Today at work one of my appointments decided not to show up so I decided to try hping one myself. The mold is the lee 440 rf. It was the first mold I got and it's in pretty rough shape so I didn't really care if it worked or not. The first cavity drilled way off center so I decided to try the other one. It turned out as perfect as it gets. The pin I used is 1/4" stainless steel. Heres some pictures of the finished product.

So today I loaded up a few of them and here are the results. One of the bullets in there is a non fired one for referance. These bullets we're cast from lead that's about 12 bhn. I guess I need to go a little softer...

What was the method you used to get the second hollow point pin hole centered? (getting that right is after all the main issue)

When I clamped the bottom of the mold in the machine table on my drill press I noticed the top wasn't tight together so I put another clamp on top. That's about the only thing that I did different. Idk maybe I just got lucky the second time.
