Cut Bank, Mt................Been there.

I have no ideal about the bullet. I've cast .512 diameter but that's the largest........Creeker

If it is a British rifle, the bullet weight should be stamped or engraved on it. I believe the standard .577 2 3/4 nitro express was a 650 grain bullet.

They are also .585" diameter. So the maxi balls will not work. The recoil of one of these is about like a 10 gauge magnum. Heavy ,but not unmanageable!

An old Kynoch Catalog shows a750 jacketed for full nitro and a 570 metal based solid, ot copper tubed. Marrakai at NE has one IIRC. He'll help.

Try NEI at this url;

They make moulds for just about anything.

Mike I posted the same question over on NE and Marraki responded he doesn't do cast.

I can find plenty of .577 bullets. I am looking for a specfic cast bullet that would be best for the 577 2 3/5 NE...preferably recommend from experience.

Buckshot can't answer your questions just yet...the rifle and I won't meet for a month or two. It has to get to Idaho from Oregon and I have to get there from South Africa...and no it's not a double it's a Martini...suppose to have a modern barrel and not some old Snider muzzleloader barrel, that's a major plus!!

Got me, the gun and some .600 round balls all in the same place at the same time. Bore is 7 groove, .584 1 in 38 twist. What bullet does that sound like to you?

.............Well, the 48" twist in my P58 two band Enfield will stabilize a 580gr Pritchit so your 38" twist means pretty much whatever you can stand to shoot :-) Did Joe at Oregon Barrel make your tube?

Haven't talked to Joe in over 25 years, didn't know he made barrels.

This gun came out of Colorado via Oregon. The barrel was supposed to have been made by barrel maker.

I have to do the stock work, add a butt plate and the rear sigt needs moved
