This rifle has been converted to .357 Mag .

I am working on some .357 brass . Will experiment with different seating debths to try to optimize feeding .

Last time I was casting bullets , I used my SWC mold to cast some .357 / .38 bullets .

Realizing this bullet shape is not optimum for a lever gun , I am going to see how well I can get it to feed , by tiring to fine tune the OAL .

If this does not work out , I will probably order a Lee 6 cavity RN mold .

God bless

Think you're on the right track there. My M1894 .357 Marlin feeds SWCs fine as does my .44 Mag Win M94.

The OAL's the key in most cases./beagle

I bought a RN mold for my Marlin .44 Mag . My SWC's did not feed well . Might could have worked out that problem ?

I just do not know if I will shoot the .357 enough to justify a new mold , if I can get by w/o buying one .

Also , the Marlin was my first handgun caliber lever gun . Did not know much about them .

I have owned a .45-70 Marlin for years , but bullet feeding has not been an issue .

God bless
