I'm smiling from ear to ear!

This morning I shot about 100 45 LC bullets I cast the day before. I used Lyman 452424's mold & WW which were water quenched. Lubed with Lyman Moly lube (haven't made my own mix yet). Accuracy was better than any store bought ever! Leading? What's that? Nothing. Magnus, Laser Cast, Better Bullets (Rogers) all show some lead in the barrel and throw out tremendous smoke. Mine? Virtually no smoke and super accurate. I'm smiling from ear to ear. I'm a convert and will never go back to purchasing a bullet again!

I get a great feeling of satisfaction from melting down a pile of ingots and ending up with a coffee can of bullets, knowing that I didn't have to rely on anyone else to generate my bullet supply.

I'm a Cowboy Action Shooter, so cast bullets are the ticket, and my straight WW bullets are perfect for ringing steel.

I guess that's what all of this is about. I looked down my Mod. 24 bore after shooting 50 of my pretty stout .430's over a pretty heavy charge of 4227 and didn't see anything but a little if powder fouling. A good feeling to know your work made a difference.
