I told my wife I wanted rabbit for supper. She said fine, she would get one out of the rabbit house and clean it. I was thinking great I can keep on reading. I just walked into the kitchen and saw this. It wasn't quite what I meant. A minute ago she came by with Bugs wrapped in a towel and shortly I heard the blow dryer turn on. She must be slow cooking him.

Just to be a wise acre, I was going to suggest mild soap and warm water. Then saw the photo.

With a cottontail, you don't have to raise the tail to wipe.

I can't resist a picture from Beatrix Potter's "Tales of Peter Rabbit", whose father was caught by Mr. McGregor and put in a pie. That will teach him to be a rabbit!

My dog some how got my neaghbors pet rabbit. I took the rabbit away from her but it was already dead. I was mortified to say the least. I took the poor bunny inside and put it in the kitchen sink and noticed it wasn't badly mangeled so I cleaned it up with my wifes shampoo and blow dried it and fluffed it up good as new. My nieghber wasn't home so I sneak over and put the rabbit back in his cage. May be they'll think he died of natural causes. Week later Im talking to nieghber and He tells me something very strang happened last week. He says their pet bunny died and he buried it in his back yard. Next day he was mowing grass and found the rabbit back in its cage looking and smelling like it had been to a beauty parler!!!

My first thought when I read the OP, keep it away from the bear...

Huh, sounds like my wife, she would do that to me in a heart beat. Raised alot of rabbits and ate about as many. Kinda like Noah, ONLY TWO, ONLY TWO!

I actually know better than most how to clean rabbits for consumption, but I'll spare the details considering the actual subject of this thread.
BTW, that's a real healthy looking albino you've got there. Wonderful creatures.

Had a couple whites as a boy.
Best I can remember the last one (over 6 years old) weighed over 9 lbs. I used to carry him around on my shoulders, or lay in the grass, as he munched. He never once tried to escape and would come to my call. He would snuggle up beside me and nap in the warm spring sunshine. Those were carefree days.

My favorite childrens stories were Br'er Rabbit and Uncle Remus tales, guess that is so politically incorrect now I would be tarred and feathered for talking about it. Still my favorite story involved the "Tar Baby" and Br'er Rabbit. It's a shame those are probably outlawed now. My mom used to read them to me over and over.
