Anyone have a favorite hunting load for this caliber? I have tried 12.0 gr SR 4750 and a 165 PBFN bullet. Shoots 2" at 50 yards. Thanks, moodyholler

My two favorite loads for my 93 in 32-40 are

14 of IMR 4227 - gits me 1400 fps - good and clean bore
15.4 of 4198 - gits me 1400 fps
6.5 Unique gits me 1150 fps
2.5 of bullseye gits me 625 FPS

I like the 4227 load as it leaves the bore very clean - the others leave some carbon buildup - all are very accurate in my rifle. 4227 will throw a flyer now and then but tight groups at about 1.5" at 100 yards. 4198 throws a little bigger group than 4227 but few if any flyers. Unique is VERY accurate but slow. Bullseye is sub 1/2" groups at 25 yards and very quite - just like a 22 rifle with standard loads.

Thanks WEST CREEK, I meant to thank you on the Marlin board also. I am building a single shot H & A in this caliber also. I have an IDEAL loading tool that I am crimping with now so I can load other brass for the single shot and use the same dies for both. moodyholler
