I just got my NOE .289 7mm mold. Cast up a bunch. They drop from the mold @ .2895. I do not have a sizing die yet and that is were my question goes. I made up a dummy round and slowly seated it till i could close bolt on my 1908 Brazilian mauser. You can feel the first driving band squeeze into the throat. When i take the round out and look i can see the driving band has been sized by the throat and it leaves a little sliver of lead near the neck of the cartridge. I then measure the drive band and it measures .288. Now would i want to size to .289 or .288. I am having buckshot make me a die. Thanks for any help.
