Hi, I am new to this forum I got a question about casting for the 7.62 x 25 has anybody used a lee mold for this caliber? Thanks in advance.

yes, the 93gr.RN lee, problem ,the forepart beyond the first lube groove in most cases must be reduced to .302" in order to chamber,a stepped sizing die .3o2" with the bottom @.312/3" is OK for my chambers(3) & throats this after initial sizing & lubing in Saeco.313" die, the stepped sizing die is similar to a push thru Lee sizer,with a ejector added

I too purchased that lee mold. I thought I would have to size to .308. Probably should figure on slugging the barrel to be accurate. I would be using the appropriate lee sizing die and alox

I've been using that boolit, sized to .309, and after loading drop it into the top end of a 7.62x39 crimp die, giving one crimp to the bullet and one to the brass.

I think the stepped size die would be a better solution. I'd never heard of such a thing. (and shudder to think what it might cost)

I am pretty sure the bullet is simply too large above the last drive band. Factory loads have a longer more slender bullet.
