Zoomies

Available in Black only this go around but with your choice of white, red, green or UV emitter (Be sure to tell me which one or you get white). $10 each. I have also found a good lithium ion 14500 cell to power these at $12 for a pair of batteries and a charger for those who wanted rechargables for these.

http://castboolits.gunloads.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=103983&d=1403162714

Modified original.

Round body (L2) as in previous buys. This does not have a pocket clip. I have gone back to the 3 mode as people seem to like it better. Batteries are the upgraded as well. I am using Samsung 2600 mAh 18650s which give better run times and longer battery life. Kit still contains light, 2 batteries and charger. Price will be $46 due to some increases in component costs. Rail mount kits with the polymer rail mount are $16 including bracket and pressure switch. Aspheric lens available for $2 as well

137651

Big Lights

Same model as before 3 emitters and will run on either 2 or 3 batteries so can either be compact or have an extended runtime. These come with a Nitecore 2 cell charger and 6 18650 batteries so you have 3 sets if running in 2 cell mode or 2 complete sets running in 3 cell mode. These are 5 mode Hi>Mid>Low>Strobe>SOS and have the upgraded sense resistors to put out 1800-2000 lumen on high. In a pinch these can be run on 4*AA with the 3 cell extension. I would not run on more than low mode on AA as the current draw will stress cells and cause unwanted heat on high/mid. Price is $95 for light, 6 batteries and Efest digital charger including car charging cable.

Monster light

This is a true monster. A TR-J18 with 7 emitters running on 8 Amps. This amount of current draw requires the use of larger cells to truly achieve useful runtimes so this one is offered with 2 full sets (6 batteries) of 26650 cells (26mm diameter 650mm Long). This light can also run on 18650s with the sleeves provided, or on low mode using standard C size batteries in a pinch. Output can easily dwarf the output of the original big light with nearly 4200 lumen when run on good quality 26650 cells. At mid mode the light puts out 1600 and roughly 400 on low. Runtime on 3*26650 is roughly 75 minutes on high but the light will be too hot to hold long before you reach that point. 9.5 inches long on 2 cells 12.5 on 3. Kit includes light, 6 batteries and a dual cell digital charger with car adapter. Kit price is $165.

137652 (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=103987&d=1399158302)

I ran some tests using a lux meter for comparison of output just so we could compare apples to apples. Lumens is a very subjective measurement. This gives a much clearer picture as it allows direct comparison of all lights to each other. These were done at short distance and will not be comparable to others results, but within my system they give a good idea of how one compares to the next.

Any advantage to your 14500 lithium battery compared to the Eneloop aa battery?

wiljen
04-27-2015, 06:55 PM
the 14500s are capable of more current so will be brighter, eneloops will last longer so its a trade off.

hard to make an exact fit.

The original is an 18650 body with an xml emitter and runs between 750 and 800 lumen otf on high.
the zoomies are a 14500/AA body and run a xre emitter at roughly 250-280 lumen with a 14500 they will run higher, with junk AA cells considerably lower.
The big light is a 3x xml doesnt match anything on the chart

Right now they wont release the parts to me and they wont send them back to china so basically I have $4000 locked on a dock that they wont release because of the batteries. I am still working on this but will gladly refund anyone who prefers not to wait as this has drawn out entirely longer than I wanted. If you wish to withdraw please email me at wiljen.wj (AT) gmail.com and I will happily refund you.

I have had to hire an attorney to file a claim with customs to get the parts released. The claim was filed July 17th and customs has 90 days to decide if they will release the item or if I have to go to court over it. The attorney tells me 95% of the time they release the item rather than fight it as it just isnt worth it to them but that they usually do so at the 11th hour so I should plan on it being most of the 90 days. I apologize for this to all of you and will again re-iterate if you want a refund just email me at wiljen.wj (at) gmail.com and I will do so. I understand the frustration and believe you me, you aint alone.

I'm not even in this buy but I've purchased a bunch of Wiljen lights from his previous offerings.
As so many have stated already he's a stand-up guy for sure, and the lights are worth waiting for.
I hate to see Will having so much trouble this time, and I'd hate even more if he stopped offering his lights to the members here. They are outstanding in quality and value.

+3 and would love a shot at leftovers. I haven't ordered from you before, but have seen nothing but good things and wouldn't mind pitching in to help.

Will,

Hoping that delay will allow me to place an order. PayPal payment sent.

Advise if you can't accept my order. It's for my son.

Has anyone heard anything from Wiljen or Will? As I was informed on 5/15/2015 that he would send me out a new switch for the light I purchased from him but have not received one. I have sent him messages since that time with no reply?

Will if you do come back on the forum then please inform me if you will be able to replace the switch or if I should simply write it off. If you can send the switch then by all means contact me for new address information.

In an effort to reach Will I did contact the Moderator dromia but he informed me as of 9/26 that nobody has been able to raise him. And have not heard a thing since from anyone.

I am also concerned about Wil.

More so because he has been a friend, and coffee mentor.

I also sent $70 for a light, knowing that I sent the $$$ and order in late.

Just hope he's OK.

Blammer, please report ASAP. Thanks.

Well gang, I just finished sending every paypal payment I received back in full as I lost my appeal to customs. They will not release the property without a protracted court battle and I am both tired of it and out of income I can afford to spend on it. I refunded the full amount to the email that originally made every payment. If you paid by check, it will arrive in the next few days to the same address it was sent from.

I apologize for all the hassle, but ultimately I have to shoulder the responsibility so I do not expect you guys to fund it.

Once again, Please accept my apologies and know I tried.

Were the batteries the problem?

Is that the only part you were missing/waiting on from customs? or did they have a bunch of other parts too?

They had all the tubes and the batteries. Basically all but the chipset and the LEDs. If I ever do another buy and right now thats a big IF, I will order the batteries a week after everything else from a different vendor so it cannot possibly hang the whole thing out to dry like this did. Live and learn right....

What a screwed up system!

Thank you for the refund. I'm pretty sure I paid by check and I have cancelled my paypal account, so that is out. I'll keep an eye out for the check.

I was really looking forward to the monster light. I would also be back in to place another order as I love the other lights I got from you and use them daily. Before your lights, a flashlight wasn't a big deal. The headlight is great for automotive work and machining work or detail work. The standard light for around $46 blows away any mag light and sits on my desk where it is handy. I ordered one for my neighbor and my dad along with the monster. I saw many lights out on the internet, but yours are tried and true for a price that was well worth it.

It would be a win win if you were able to do another buy and make back some of the money lost, assuming you can not get tied up in customs again, but I understand your reluctance.

Your honesty is much appreciated and I am sure there are plenty of people out there who would not have gone to the trouble you have to clear up the situation.

Thanks, Wil, for the efforts.

While I would have rather gotten a light, whenever it was available, I understand the situation.
Hoping the vendor will offer you a refund, to make you whole again. Otherwise, you're out some serious cash.
Let us know if we can assist you in recovering financially. You're a good guy, and good guys should NOT finish last.

It has been a rough year all the way round. I don't think any of it is beyond what others face and certianly not on par with some of the cancers and things others have faced. It just has meant that my time has been spent on those priorities first. I am hopeful that things will settle down but for right now it was best to get this cleared and be able to spend more energy on family until some of the health issues get resolved.

And since I am here as of the post today 11/20/2015 still no word. :( But then again I did not expect one.
